Gastro Couture - Online Reservations and Deals!

Advertorial
[entry page]

Gastro Couture is an insiders-only dining club that offers a neat combination of deals and online reservations at some of Singapore's most popular restaurants. Membership is free and opens up a world of convenience and savings for foodies!

The site launched May 2011 and already offers deals of up to 30% off at 19 restaurants like Sui Japanese Dining, Michelangelo's, Pasta Inc, L'Angolo, La Noce, Mondo Mio, Santaro, Akari, The Song of India, Al Qasr, Original Sin, Bobby's Bistro, Meatworks, Brawn Steakhouse, Bunker Bar Bistro, Senor Santos, Nectar, Quentins, and Infusion. Some discount deals even come with dessert!

So, if I have a group of six friends dining with a 30% discount, a meal of S$500 would cost approximately only S$350!

What I really like about the site is that there are no coupons or codes to print out and bring along, and there is no need to call the restaurant for reservations. Just make your reservation booking via Gastro Couture, and your discount is confirmed. That's it!

All you need to do is pay a small booking fee (now S$2 for a limited period) to ensure that discount. When you place a booking, you'll be taken to a Paypal portal for making payment, and back to GastroCouture where you can view your reservations.

You can also check your bookings anytime under "Your Account", and make cancellations here (if you cancel at least two hours prior to dining time, you will get a promo code for your next reservation). You will also get an email confirmation with dining details, which you can forward to your dining partners.

Right now, there's a sign-up promotion for Camemberu readers!

Just sign up before 31 August 2011, you stand a chance to win a nine-course "Lover's Set" dinner for two at Sui Japanese Dining worth S$99, which comprises the following:

  • Free 2 glasses of apéritif (homemade japanese plum wine)

  • Lover's Cheek (tender grilled yellow tail fish cheek)
  • Black Pork or Wagyu rolled with golden mushroom
  • Sea of Love(seared jumbo prawn with cod fish roe)
  • Sushi
  • Savory Dessert (homemade sweet delights)

No purchase necessary. Just sign up for the free membership and you'll be eligible to win. The winner will be announced on the Gastro Couture Facebook page and blog. Terms and conditions apply.

Background on Sui Japanese Dining: Sui has been serving Japanese cuisine since 2005 and prides itself on fresh sushi and sashimi. In the past five and a half years, it's been reviewed by Tatler and TV media. The restaurant was previously at 38 Craig Road, but has just moved into new premises at 81 Neil Road. You can expect a sushi bar where you can enjoy watching food made right before your eyes. Or you can enjoy your meal in one of the three private dining rooms. A selection of premium sakes are available to complement the fresh seafood, meats and vegetables too.

So yes, sign up and take a look at Gastro Couture. I'm definitely going to try out some of the discounts. The deals look really worthwhile, especially if you have a big group, as the discount is not a fixed dollar value, but scales with your total dining purchase. Enjoy!
