McDonald's Signature Collection Premium Burgers Now Available Islandwide

If you've been to the new Marine Cove McDonald's, you may have seen the Signature Collection of burgers comprising this trio: Spicy Tortilla with Angus Beef (S$8.95), Spicy Chicken with Apple Slaw (S$6.95) and Classic Cheese with Angus Beef (S$8.95).

Yeah, these are the more "atas" or fancy burgers. And as of today, they're no longer exclusive to Marine Cove but have hit all 130 outlets islandwide.

I like the Spicy burgers. The Spicy Tortilla Angus Beef one is best eaten while fresh and warm. It has crunchy tortilla chips along with melted cheese, guacamole, tomato and onions - this combination is a little busy and often too wet, but tasty nonetheless. I'd kill the tomato.

The Spicy Chicken one is both fiery and sweet, thanks to the juicy slices of apple in creamy dressing.

The only one I'm not so fond of is the Classic Cheese, even though it features Colby cheese slices, tomato jalapeno relish, grilled onions and garlic aioli sauce.

My kids aren't too fond of these (Nadine won't eat any; Jolie only likes the Spicy Chicken). Hubby still prefers the original range of burgers. He thinks McDonald's doesn't need new burgers; the old ones just need to be made bigger!

My only quibble is with the "everyone can atas" slogan - atas is not a verb; it is an adjective. Sorry lah, it just sounds like a foreigner trying to use Singlish and failing.

Oh there are also potato wedges now for a limited time only. Upgrade your French Fries (M) in an Extra Value Meal for Potato Wedges with Sour Cream Dip at a top-up of SS$0.80. The Potato Wedges are available from $3.80 a la carte.

The Wedges and the new Red Velvet McFlurry® with Oreo® Cookies for dessert (from S$2.90 a la carte) are available until 21 September 2016, while stocks last.

Thanks to McDonald's for sending the burger sets!
