LIME Restaurant Lobsterfest Buffet: Unlimited Lobster 9 Ways!

If you are a seafood lover and haven't already tried the LIME Lobsterfest at PARKROYAL on Pickering, you're missing out. This is an epic feast of Maine lobsters done nine different ways. I'm usually wary of the quality and preparation of lobsters at buffets, but I was blown away by my experience at LIME. #buffetsworththecalories

The Lobsterfest debuted last year as part of the SG50 celebrations. But it was so popular, LIME brought it back between 27 May and 19 June, and then had to extend the sell-out dinner until, and including, 1 December 2016. The Lobsterfest happens every Wednesday and Thursday evening at the incredible price of S$99++ per adult!

Here are the nine different styles and I was pleasantly surprised to find that all of them passed muster. It's not easy to pull off so many cooking methods and score well for all.

Untitled
Lobster Salad with Exotic Vegetables and Wasabi Aioli
This is one of my favourites: a lobster salad so refreshing with juicy cubes of blood orange and crunchy vegetables. The tobikko and aioli dressing pulled it all together. You absolutely have to start with this!

Maine Lobster with Truffled Hollandaise and Espelette
You can watch the chefs giving these lobsters a final "aburi" treatment, torching the Hollandaise sauce before serving. Yum.

Untitled
Lobster Bisque-Based Risotto with Mascarpone and Lobster Meat
The lobster risotto is creamy with robust flavours thanks to the bisque. Here it is topped with lobster thermidor (see next item).

Untitled
Maine Lobster Thermidor with Persillade Crust
The green crust of parsley and garlic lends a beautiful aroma to the usual thermidor.

Untitled
Singapore Chilli Lobster
The meaty lobster is definitely much easier to eat than chili crab. Enjoy with the requisite mantou.

Untitled
Black Pepper Lobster
Sticky sweet peppery sauce also translates well with lobster.

Untitled
Singapore Laksa with Lobster (aka Lobster Lux-sa)
The Lux-sa has been one of the highlights of their regular buffets. The laksa broth is nicely rich and aromatic, but can fill you up real fast, so go easy on it.

Untitled
Lobster Mac and Cheese with Truffle Salsa
Comfort food given a luxurious boost.

Untitled
Maine Lobster with Salted Eggs
Salted egg everything!

As if all that lobster isn't enough, there's more seafood on ice, along with sushi and sashimi.

Make your own antipasti platter from the charcuterie, olives, six types of international cheeses and their accompaniments.

Guests seeking variety can feast on sauteed mushrooms, Szechuan/Sichuan-style deep-fried fish fillet, beef bourguignon, Wuxi pork ribs, rotisserie chicken with roasted vegetables from the hot mains section.

They also have surprisingly good pizza. Chef even customised one for us, based on our suggestion!

Complete your evening with a visit to the dessert table loaded with assorted Nonya kuehs, Belgian chocolate, fruit, and the iconic matcha chocolate fondue fountain.

There is a separate table for cakes, ice cream and biscuits. But what you must not miss is the durian pengat! It's either in a big ceramic vat at the Peranakan section or in shooters near the cut fruit.
