No.26 Carrot Cake
Labels:
- Toa Payoh,
carrot cake,
hawker

My friend lunching with me didn't take to the famous Chey Sua Carrot Cake that well, so he decided to try out another stall. Anyway, he prefers black carrot cake. The black version is normally too sweet for my liking. This one is pretty decent, as it's got enough savoury edge to balance the sweet. A S$3 plate gives you some prawns as well.

I'm not sure if the name of the stall is Carrot Cake 26 or 26 Carrot Cake or Carrot 26 Cake. But it's right next to Tian Tian Lai Hokkien Mee. Maybe I'll try its white carrot cake next time.

ReplyDeleteTerri: well, my hubby still doesn't think much of Singapore hawker food, so it really may be a matter of tastebuds. But there are a few hawker gems still! Hope you enjoy the food on your next visit!
