Princess Cruises Now Offers Online Booking Services

I'm super glad to hear Princess Cruises yesterday launched online cruise booking services for Southeast Asia. Guests can research cruises and book online on their tablets, mobile phones or personal computers via www.princess.com

This is the first time that guests in Asia are able to do this with Princess Cruises directly. Guests in mature cruise markets such as North America, the United Kingdom and Australia are already able to book their cruises online.

“Since beginning homeport cruising from Singapore three years ago, we have seen an increase in the number of repeat cruisers and our website aims to attract these guests who will find our online booking services easy-to-use and interactive. The digital age has brought a surge in travel-related online activity and we believe Internet-savvy travellers in Asia are ready for a direct online booking capability,” said Farriek Tawfik, Director Southeast Asia, Princess Cruises.

Yes, I think we're ready too. I rather like the website's wealth of content, site organisation and ease of navigation. They show you essential information to help you make your decisions, such as stateroom comparisons, and clear outlines of what's included in the fare and what's not. You can also view shore excursion options, dining outlets, entertainment and recreational options as well as the other offerings on-board.

Guests also have the option of choosing the location of their cabins and view the fares for the various categories of cabins. Guests have three payment options: to hold the booking with no deposit; book with a deposit; or make payment in full.  Guests also have various payment options using their credit cards.

Mr. Tawfik stressed that guests still have the option of booking their cruises with their preferred travel agent who can help with more complex itineraries such as airline bookings, pre- and post-hotel accommodation, ground transportation and visa applications. First-time cruisers are also recommended to go through travel agents who will be able to answer queries by phone or face-to-face.

More and more global cruise brands are coming to Singapore. Princess Cruises is a global cruise line and tour company operating a fleet of 18 modern cruise ships. As the world’s largest international premium cruise brand, Princess carries two million guests each year to more than 360 destinations around the globe on more than 150 itineraries ranging in length from three to 114 days.

Meanwhile, the Princess Cruises' newest ship Majestic Princess (photo above) launches her maiden Europe season in April-May 2017. It's coming to Singapore, so check out the cruises involving this ship!
