CaffeBar Crispy Duck Leg Confit

Crispy Duck Leg Confit
Yay! I've found a new way to enjoy duck besides Peking duck. Yes, I normally do not like duck (tastes like chicken that's had too many a cigar and not enough baths). Anyway, this is the most excellent duck leg confit at CaffeBar (yes, that open cafe at Parkway Parade).

Crispy Duck Leg Confit
The crispy skin yields easily to reveal the tender, salty meat. Kinda reminds me of Schweinshaxe (crispy pork knuckle). Well, I'm glad I tried it, and I will quite happily have it again.

  8. I'm not a duck confit fan- I like my duck smelling like it just had a cigar bath, ha ha. Seriously though the picture looks good but I prefer my duck braised.

The duck leg confit is now S$22.80++ (used to be S$19.80++ some years back).

Esther: thanks for the tip on Gourmet Plus.

LIC: whua, you are literally a "xi ke" ('western'/rare visitor). Come again to Parkway and try! I know you like duck!

BBO: No, they didn't. I don't think it needed any though. Nyum!

  12. My fiance LOVES duck, especially Peking Duck! I think it's all about the fatty crispy skin and the shrimp chips that come with it. This duck confit looks amazing too!

  15. It's the worse duck leg confit I've ever eaten... their minestrone too... all the four mains we ordered were utterly disappointing... tried once & will never return to Caffebar again
