Yotel Singapore Staycation in Orchard Road

Some places you just love coming back to. We first stayed at Yotel at Orchard Road, Singapore in 2018 and brought home great memories we would often speak of. Cute bunk bed in a modern first class cabin-like room, futuristic droids delivering amenities requested, a nice pool and generally good service. So we were very happy to have an opportunity to stay here again once the pandemic seemed to have subsided.

The room is as we remembered it to be: super comfy bed with adjustable bed base, and pillows you just sink right into. The upper bunk sleeps one, so you can fit three persons in this Queen cabin.

Compact sink area

The compact sink area next to the bathroom, which has floor to ceiling windows on one side facing the city. Blinds available for privacy, of course. But it's awesome when you have a high floor overlooking everything.

My girls absolutely loved the place.

  Yoga demos at Yotel?

We do miss our smart TV with Netflix and Youtube built in. But hey, they have cable TV with channels we haven't seen in a long time, and even some yoga demos!

  Neon lifts at Yotel Singapore

Neon-lit lifts just give this place a party feel.

The pool is all yours

The pool is likely very much yours. There's a limit of five pax per hourly slot. It's on the same floor as the gym and the restaurant.

Halloween vibes at KOMYUNITI

The sole F&B outlet here is now KOMYUNITI, focusing more on modern Japanese-Korean cuisine that seems popular with the younger crowd. I'll have a post on their pretty interesting placebo cocktails later.

Breakfast at Yotel

Breakfast has become more streamlined. Gone are the buffet options. You get a healthy starter with salad, yogurt, apple, croissant, mini muffin and choice of juices or milk. Coffee/tea is free flow.

Breakfast at Yotel (mains)

You also get a choice of mains:
  • Asian congee, pickles and peanuts
  • Sausage, ham, egg, waffle, hash brown, toast and jam
  • Fried vermicelli, egg, dim sum (spring roll and mini red bean bun)

The Yotel Droids are still here!

We are so glad to see the droids still doing their duty! Too bad they were under maintenance when we tried to summon them. Maybe we should come back again.

This is a great location just diagonally across from Orchard ION. We were able to explore new things in town. The rooms may be small but more than sufficient for a cosy stay, and in fact, we spent more time indoors than out. Most of all, I like that this is not a cookie cutter typical hotel room.

Bookings can be made directly on the Yotel website.
