Gusto Italiano: Celebrating Italian Cuisine

Thank you all who participated in my Facebook fan page Gusto Italiano giveaway to the masterclass by Chef Diego (photo above courtesy of Gusto Italiano). You will find winners announced here. I will be hopefully going to the workshop as well.

Gusto Italiano Culinary Masterclass by Chef Diego Chiarini of OSO Ristorante
Date: 21 Sep 2013 (Sat)
Time: 4 pm
Venue: TOTT Cooking Studio, 896 Dunearn Rd, Singapore 589472.

Chef Diego's Workshop Menu:
1) Riso Rice Aquerello in Risotto Style With Pumpkin, Cinnamon & “La Morra” Black Truffle
2) The “Giuseppe Cocco” Penne Pasta With Cherry Tomato & “Artigianna” Buratta Cheese

Gusto Italiano is an Italian gastronomy fest from 1 Sept to 3 Oct 2013, presented by HSBC (cardholders enjoy 20% off events and 15% off a la carte food bills at EATaly participating restaurants). There are EATaly dining promotions and offers all year round (refreshed every three months).

I shall also be attending one of the many wine dinners (some already sold out!) - the one at Forlino with Chef Kentaro Torii. I'm generally very curious about what Japanese chefs do with other cuisines. (hey, that's why my blog name is the Japanese pronunciation of a French cheese). They usually study the cuisine with perfectionist ardor and do something really stunning with it. The menu looks good too. Full menus of all the dinners and events available online.
