Well, for sure there are certain foods we should minimise during pregnancy (I don't do raw beef/poultry/eggs/shellfish or unpasteurised milk/cheese). There is no end to the paranoia - you can even get food poisoning from salads and cut fruits!

But the sashimi thing I did a lot of research. Even the Japan Ministry of Health doesn't stop women from eating raw fish, only to limit or avoid those high in mercury. By all means, you can choose to eat fish cooked but I just can't stand cooked salmon. :P

Oh, thanks for your food recommendations too.

Didally: yes, good value at $35++! I guess the well-to-do Sultan of Brunei isn't too concerned on maxing out profits. :)Camemberuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12606864987474618179noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2068656129507965062.post-18315502195397222652007-11-05T15:35:00.000+08:002007-11-05T15:35:00.000+08:00Woo.. the food looks good with quite a variety. Better than some high tea buffet that costs the same, but miserable variety.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2068656129507965062.post-24495633855494970702007-11-05T10:55:00.000+08:002007-11-05T10:55:00.000+08:00My wife has been researching into Dos and Don'ts d...My wife has been researching into Dos and Don'ts during pregnancy... But I guess its great to be able to eat whatever you want...

Been following your food blog for recommendations on nice places for food...

For fried hokkien prawn mee, I recommend Geylang Lorong 29's. Its great. They gonna feature the son's branch at East Coast Road on Makansutra.

For Japanese pork cutlet, try Tonkichi at Shaw House. Alot of Japanese go there.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2068656129507965062.post-26773059237492902232007-11-05T10:24:00.000+08:002007-11-05T10:24:00.000+08:00LOL, chubbypanda! They are quite often overblown.

Ladyironchef: yes, halal and S$35++ but if you have a Citibank card, you get 10% off. Do check first for card promo validity when you make reservations though. Not sure when it expires.Camemberuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12606864987474618179noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2068656129507965062.post-53371913985268351322007-11-04T19:02:00.000+08:002007-11-04T19:02:00.000+08:00nice nice. the theme is halal continenet and asian...nice nice. the theme is halal continenet and asian food?

$35++ or $35nett? so should be around $40Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2068656129507965062.post-6601498374425144112007-11-04T16:57:00.000+08:002007-11-04T16:57:00.000+08:00Shouldn't you be avoiding raw food now that you ar...Shouldn't you be avoiding raw food now that you are pregnant?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2068656129507965062.post-44107496334569474542007-11-04T01:36:00.000+08:002007-11-04T01:36:00.000+08:00All the stripes do bad things to my eyes, but the ...All the stripes do bad things to my eyes, but the buffet selection looks lush.Chubbypandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12930326230203564199noreply@blogger.com
