But just wanne point out that Okinawa itself has very heavy Chinese influence, so its culture, and of course, its food, is more Chinese than Japanese. I don't think we can consider it Japanese in the first place, as Okinawa existed initially as a separate kingdom from Japan. Yup. That explains why its food is more Chinese.
